Join us celebrate and congratulate Mr. Gideon Nyarko, the 2019 Best Teacher Awardee (Techiman Municipal),  2019 Best Teacher Awardee (Brong Ahafo Region), and 2019 Top 50 Teachers Awardee ( Republic of Ghana)

Gideon gained admission into Valley View University in 2009 and graduated in 2013 with a Bachelor of Education (Mathematics Major) degree. Born in 1984 at Sekyeredumasi Juaho in the Ashanti region, he had his basic and secondary education all in Sekyeredumasi.  He later advanced his education at Ada College of Education and obtained a Diploma in Basic Education.

Currently, Gideon is a teacher at Techiman Senior High School.

About the Award

Last year, Gideon was nominated by the administration of Techiman SHS to contest for Best Teacher Award at the municipal level, out of 121 teachers. Having emerged as the winner at the municipal level, he was entered into the regional competition (i.e. Bono region, Ahafo region and Bono East region). By God's grace, Gideon was once again crowned as the best teacher of the region. He was also adjudged as among the top 50 teachers in the Republic of Ghana.

Gideon’s Testimonial

Gideon always aspires for excellence. He attributes this to the Value-Based education he received from Valley View University that hinges on the three core values of excellence, integrity and service. He is convinced that has contributed to a large extent to the attainment of this enviable feat.

His favorite quote is: “The greatest want of the world is the want of men - men who will not be bought or sold, men who in their inmost souls are true and honest, men who do not fear to call sin by its right name, men whose conscience is as true to duty as the needle to the pole, men who will stand for the right though the heavens fall.” His hobbies are singing and comedy.

Congratulations, Gideon!
