OUR MISSION
The Student Life and Services office play a crucial role in promoting students' overall well-being and in developing character and critical thinking, in line with the Seventh-day Adventist philosophy of education, which prepares students to cultivate a passion for serving God and humanity with excellence and integrity. The Student Life and Services office uphold this mission by emphasizing three distinctive marks.

Faith-based Values
In line with Adventist philosophy of education, Student Life and Services uses program such as the Interdisciplinary Forum and living and service-learning program to complement students’ classroom experience and enable them to acquire skills and values that put them ahead of their colleagues in the workplace and make them valuable members of various homes and communities.
Holistic Lifestyle Values
Run programs and activities that develop the physical, mental, and social well-being of students. Promote dressing that reflects the basic biblical principles of modesty, chastity, simplicity, propriety, neatness, and comeliness.
• Dining Services: The unit serves a variety of wholesome, nutritious meals, including local Ghanaian dishes and fruits and vegetables. If you have special dietary needs, con¬tact the Director of Food Services through the Dean of Student Life.
• Health Services: The Valley View University Hospital, located on campus, offers 24-hour walking services, including emergency care.
• Safety and Security Services: The unit provides 24 hours a day, seven days a week, including holidays, security services to ensure the safety of the campus community. Students are also encouraged to ensure that all their activities are carried out in the safest possible manner. They are advised to report any unsafe or dangerous conditions or activities.
• Counselling Services: The Centre provides psychosocial support, including academic, career, and personal to members of the university community to enhance their well-being. The Centre is made up of professional counsellors who are conscious of the ethical requirement of confidentiality and informed consent.
• Career Services: This unit provides a personalized and innovative way to empower a student’s academic success and transformation. It equips all Valley View University Students with high and in-demand soft skills in the job market. Through seminars, students are exposed to soft skills such as good communication, collaboration, emotional intelligence, problem-solving, and time management. These prepare them for lifelong career development and for making a difference in the Corporate Industry.
• Sports and Recreation: The unit provides a platform to promote students’ physical fitness. The unit prides itself on a serene and conducive environment for all physical activities on campus, providing sports facilities such as a football field, basketball court, volleyball court and a spacious gymnasium. Students can participate in all sporting activities to ensure a healthy lifestyle during their stay on campus.
• SRC: Provides students with the opportunity to develop organizational and leadership skills. An avenue for students to express their opinions and to impact the community through supported social and recreational activities, clubs, and organizational activities.
Residential Services
Housing: Valley View University is a residential campus. It is mandatory for students under 25 years to live in one of the campus residential halls. Each hall of residence is staffed with a Hall Dean, a Hall Dean assistant, and Residence Assistants who advocate for residence hall students as they navigate their university experiences. Campus residence provides an extraordinary opportunity to broaden their understanding and appreciation of others, as well as to develop tolerance for people from all walks of life.
