An international consultant in Quality Assurance from the United States of America, Dr Eileen White has delivered lectures on institutional governance and quality at Valley View University (VVU) at the Columbia Conference Room.
The programme was chaired by the Pro-vice Chancellor, Professor Philip Maiyo. In his address, Prof Philip Maiyo urged VVU workers to ensure quality in every aspect of their work since the Lord Himself requires that of his people.
Some of the topics treated included ‘Ensuring Institutional Quality’, and ‘Strategic Planning and Where God Fits.’
Dr White emphasised the importance of the Lord in the day to day plans of university workers “Our preparations plus God’s providences is equal to success.”
She also added that for leaders to set high standards, their lives must be dedicated to the course of God. “Leaders don’t just set goals, they set standards and these standards begin with our spiritual lives.”
In her presentations, Dr White, who was accompanied by her husband, O.C White, a civil engineer, praised Valley View University for the standards it has achieved in Ghana.
